Heartland will host neighbours Rangers in another Oriental derby in week 7 of the 2021/22 NPFL season.
Heartland have only picked two wins in 6 games played and have conceded 10 goals in the period, the second joint highest behind Dakkada.
The Owerri side are one points above relegation and are currently in disarray off the pitch with LMC giving them ultimatum to pay off players’ salaries owed.
Having fallen in one Oriental derby already, the team will want to have some pride and bragging rights against Rangers.
For Rangers, they are unbeaten on the road this season and have lost just a game in 6 games – the 1-0 loss to Enyimba.
The Flying Antelopes are currently seated in the top four, four points away from of the top of the table and have also found the net 9 times so far.
The Enugu team have won in Owerri – 2016 and 2018 but have not picked points on the ground since then.
With attacking force that has found its rhythm, Abdu Maikaba will fancy his team’s chances against their neighbours.
Both teams have been picking points on home soil since 2020 but this game might be different with Rangers’ away form which makes it difficult to predict but this is a game that will see at least two goals scored on the night.
